Todd Rundgren is back in Cleveland for two shows, May 5 and 6th at the Playhouse Square – Ohio Theater. Last time Rundgren came to town was May 20th 2018 with his amazing Utopia Tour (yes the original Utopia). This time the show will be different.
Rundgren’s latest tour, The Individualistwill be taking his fans on a journey of his career from 1977 to 1996 (although I hear he may be playing a bit of “Something Anything” from 1972 as well). He will be providing detailed introductions before each song and is expected to have at least one Question and Answer session with the audience. Rundgren is expecting to release a new autobiography called “The Individualist” on December 21st and will be discussing the book at this show as well.
Todd Rundgren has been performing for over 50 years starting with the band Nazz in 1968 (debut album also called “Nazz” as the next 1969 album was “Nazz Nazz”). Rundgren started his solo career with the 1970 album “Runt” and finishing (so far) with his 25th 2017 solo release, “White Night.” Over these 50 plus years Rundgren has played ; Phili soul, Power-rock, Progressive rock, Psychedelia, Punk, New wave, Avant-jazz and Electronica.
Expect this show to be an amazing display of excellent music from this virtuoso along with an education from Rundgren himself of his amazing career.
Todd Rundgren has two shows back to back on May 5th and 6th.
