Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella originally debuted as an original Television Musical (starring Julie Andrews as Cinderella) in 1957, which was been seen by over 100 million viewers! The original version earned two Emmy Awards.

In 1965, the first television remake starring Lesley Ann Warren aired and in 1997, a star-studded event aired on ABC, starring Brandy as Cinderella, Whitney Houston as the Fairy Godmother, Bernadette Peters as the Stepmother, Whoopi Goldberg as the Queen and Jason Alexander as Lionel. (WHAT A CAST!)

The stage version debuted on Broadway in 2013 and is now coming to Playhouse Square for a second time.
