Since their inception, Mac Sabbath has been named LA’s “Best Tribute Band” by LA Weekly and named by Buzzfeed as one of the “13 Metal Bands You Didn’t Know How to React To”. The self-appointed founders of “Drive Thru Metal”, the band is primarily a parody of English heavy metal group Black Sabbath, utilizing lyricism and imagery centered on fast food.
Mac Sabbath puts on a theatrical, multimedia stage performance – complete with amazing costumes, a smoking grill, laser-eyed clowns, bouncing burgers and many more magical surprises… basically anything and everything an unwary show-goer could ever want in their wildest dreams!
Established in 2015, Phoenix, AZ based Okilly Dokilly found success before even playing their first show, reaching viral phenomenon status after releasing just a few press photos and a four-song demo. Within two weeks, the band was featured by numerous publications including Billboard, Time, The Independent, BBC, Esquire, Rolling Stone, Vice and many more. In 2016, the band released their debut album Howdilly Doodilly (stream/order here) – a 13-track catalog filled with Flanderisms, rushing guitars and more than enough left-handed puns. In the wake of this release, the bespectacled five-piece dropped the official music video for their single, “White Wine Spritzer”. Okilly Dokilly released their second full-length album, entitled Howdilly Twodilly, on March 29. Just over a week later, Okilly Dokilly reached pinnacle Ned status when their “White Wine Spritzer” video, which has over 5.5 million views on YouTube and counting, was featured on The Simpsons.
