KoRn / Alice in Chains

Nu metal heroes Korn will co-headline a show with Alice in Chains at Blossom Music Center on August 16!

The band is on the road ahead of a new album, ‘The Nothing,‘ due for a September 13 release. Presumably, the band will be debuting material off the upcoming record on this tour! ‘The Nothing’ is the group’s first release since 2016.

Their debut album, ‘Korn,’ was released in 1994, followed by ‘Life Is Peachy’ in 1996. The band first experienced mainstream success with the landmark ‘Follow the Leader’ (1998) and ‘Issues’ (1999), both of which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. The band’s mainstream success continued with ‘Untouchables’ (2002), ‘Take a Look in the Mirror’ (2003) and ‘See You on the Other Side’ (2005).

Korn had sold more than 35 million albums worldwide! 12 of the band’s official releases have peaked in the top ten of the Billboard 200, eight of which have peaked in the top five. Seven official releases are certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), two are certified double platinum, one is certified triple platinum, one is certified five times platinum and two are certified Gold.[12] Korn has released seven video albums and thirty-nine music videos. The band has released forty-one singles, twenty-eight of which have charted.[13][14][15][16][17] Korn has earned two Grammy Awards out of eight nominations[18][19] and two MTV Video Music Awards out of eleven nominations

Alice in Chains, one of many bands to make it out of Seattle in the early 90’s, are known for many rock hits, including “Man in the Box,” “Them Bones,” “Angry Chair,” “Heaven Beside You,” and “No Excuses,” (among several others).

Tragically, original iconic frontman Layne Staley tragically lost his life in 2002. Although completely irreplaceable, band members Jerry Cantrell, Sean Kinney, and Mike Inez resurrected the band with William DuVall in 2005. DuVall eerily emulates Staley’s voice and does justice to his distinct sound.

Alice in Chains rose to international fame as part of the grunge movement of the early 1990s, along with other Seattle bands such as Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden. The band was one of the most successful music acts of the 1990s, selling over 30 million records worldwide, and over 14 million records in the US alone, with two No. 1 albums and six Top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 chart. The band has had 18 Top 10 songs on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, 5 No. 1 hits, and 11 Grammy Award nominations. Their debut album, ‘Facelift’, featuring the hit single “Man in the Box,” was released in 1990 and has been certified double-platinum by the RIAA, selling over two million copies. In 1992, the band’s second album, ‘Dirt,’ was released to critical acclaim and was certified quadruple platinum. Their second acoustic EP, ‘Jar of Flies,’ debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart in 1994, becoming the first ever EP and first Alice in Chains release to top the charts, and it has been certified triple platinum. The band’s third album, Alice in Chains debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 1995 and is certified double platinum.

The group has released three albums of new material with DuVall, the most recent being 2018’s ‘Rainier Fog.’

DuVall recently announced the release of an upcoming solo record.

Underoath and Ho99o9 will both perform as well!
