May 31 – June 2 (Legend Valley; Thornville, Ohio)
If you think craft beer, dodgeball, and s’mores don’t sound Punk Rock, you ain’t doing it right!
Besides, NOTHING says punk rock like Rancid, Bad Religion, Pennywise, and X! Throw in top-billed artist The Offspring and sprinkle in some Less Than Jake + A Wilhelm Scream, and you have yet another killer festival in Ohio to complement Sonic Temple, Bunbury, and LaureLive.
John Reese, Camp Anarchy co-founder raves, “A
Fletcher Dragge of Pennywise adds, “…Looks like Legend Valley will become ground zero for some serious punk rock debauchery and musical mayhem…Does the lineup get better? Craft beer tastings, shit to buy, shit to eat, booze to drink, and camping chaos till all hours? There is no question that this is gonna be a fcking crazy good three days!!!”
The stellar music lineup needs no further explanation. It’s killer. ‘Nuff said. And, it’s just the tip of the iceberg. Did your parents ship you away to summer camp to get a break from you when you were an annoying young kid? Those are likely some of your fondest childhood memories. Camp Anarchy is a chance to create some of your favorite adult memories!
It’s time to adult-up and move on from capture the flag, canoeing, and making lifelong friends to drinking beer, playing oversize party games, and…making lifelong friends!
As for the aforementioned activities that have been called into ‘Punk Rock’ question? What if we told you that the Dodgeball Arena includes games of ‘Fans Against the Bands.’ Not to mention, attendees attending a Punk Rock summer camp are sure to bring the fire and Punk Rock spirited flare into the dodgeball arena.
Ok, PBR and Natural light may be the official beer of Punk Rock, but c’mon, if you’re in the Craft Beer Tasting Area, you’re at least 21-year-old. Grow the hell up and sample some (or all?) of the 150 craft beers from one of the many craft breweries here in the great state of Ohio and from all over the country. Save the cheap sh*t for the campground parties.
Not that you need any more reasons to head to head to Legend Valley for the weekend, but here’s some for you anyway!
- Fair games!! Win a cheap prize that cost less than what you paid to play the game alongside Camp Anarchy’s ‘THE unFAIR,’ which adds a Punk Rock flare to traditional summer camp favorites.
- Flea’s Market Vendor Village: A great place to deposit your remaining cash while making impulsive decisions about purchasing items you will never use!
- Oversized Jenga, Beer Pong, and Cornhole. (Think of games the size of everything in Giant World in NES’ Mario 3)
