New Kids on the Block, currently consisting of brothers Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood. The pioneers of boy-bandem will perform at Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena as part of the ‘Total Package Tour,’ on Friday, June 30!

NKOTB enjoyed success in the late 1980s and early 1990s and have sold more than 80 million records worldwide. They won two American Music Awards in 1990 for Favorite Pop/Rock Band, Duo, or Group and Favorite Pop/Rock Album.[3] The group disbanded in 1994, reuniting in 2007.

After secretly reuniting in 2007 and recording a new CD, the group released that new album and embarked on a concert tour in 2008. The album, titled ‘The Block,’ was released on September 2, 2008. New Kids on the Block was listed as number 16 on Rolling Stone’s Top 25 Teen Idol Breakout Moments. The group was on tour with the Backstreet Boys in 2011–12 as NKOTBSB. This collaboration first performed live together on November 21, 2010 at the American Music Awards on ABC and again on 2011 New Year’s on ABC’s Dick Clark/Ryan Seacrest show. The group received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on October 9, 2014.

In March of 2017 NKOTB released a new singled, “One More Night,” which was followed by an EP, ‘Thankful’ in May.

Boyz II Men is an American R&B vocal group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, best known for emotional ballads and acapella harmonies.

During the 1990s, Boyz II Men gained international success. This began with the release of the number one single “End of the Road” in 1992, which reached the top of charts worldwide. “End of the Road” would set a new record for longevity, staying at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for thirteen weeks, breaking the decades-old record held by Elvis Presley. Boyz II Men proceeded to break this record with the subsequent releases of “I’ll Make Love to You” and “One Sweet Day” (with Mariah Carey), which, at fourteen and sixteen weeks respectively, each set new records for the total number of weeks at number one. “I’ll Make Love to You” also topped the charts in Australia (for four weeks) and garnered international success. “One Sweet Day” still holds the all-time record with sixteen weeks at the top of the Hot 100.

Consequently, Boyz II Men are top ranking members with regard to time spent at number one in Billboard history, ranking in the fourth spot with 50 weeks (as of 2014). Furthermore, when “On Bended Knee” took the number one spot away from “I’ll Make Love to You,” Boyz II Men became only the third artists ever to replace themselves at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Boyz II Men are among a select group of artists that have held at the number-one spot for at least 50 weeks cumulatively, placing them just fourth on that list behind Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and Mariah Carey. These achievements were enough to earn Boyz II Men recognition as Billboard magazine’s fourth most successful musical group of the 1990s

Paula Abdul first rose to prominence in the 1980s as a highly sought-after choreographer at the height of the music video era. Abdul later scored a string of pop music hits in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Her six number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 tie her with Diana Ross for seventh among the female solo performers who have topped the chart. She won a Grammy for “Best Music Video – Short Form” for “Opposites Attract” and twice won the “Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Choreography”.

Abdul saw renewed fame and success as an original judge on American Idol in the 2000s, which she left after the eighth season. She went on to star on CBS’s short-lived television series Live to Dance, which lasted one season in 2011, and was subsequently a judge on the first season of the American version of The X Factor along with her former American Idol co-judge Simon Cowell, the creator and producer of the show.

Abdul’s other hits include “Straight Up,” “Forever Your Girl,” “Rush Rush,” and “The Promise of a New Day.”
